Installation Issue regarding offline / online

I installed the demo version on my server, as well as the operator client on my pc, and I can see people when the come to the site, but it always shows offline.  I even invited someone to chat, and when they clicked on the invite, they were told the operator was offline.  I'll contact support on Monday, but I though someone here might know what I need to do.  I tried setting myself up with the specific queue as well as being administrator, and tried logging in and out.

Btw, another odd thing - if I fresh in Firefox, everything is great, but in IE 6, the operator console shows a second, third, etc visitor each time I refresh - after a few minutes it corrects itself.

Third thing:  I just the service down and restarted it on the server, and the client software went totally stupid - I had kill it using task manager - is this normal?

I have just installed version 4 on a Windows 2003 server and have the same issue? did any of you find a solution? Thanks, Tonny

I contacted support and i just needed to sign in to queue from the operator console.
